The
Oriental Medicine Clinic is run
by Marcus Dwyer (B.Sc, Acupuncture & Chinese Herbal Medicine, Dip, Ac. Dip Adv.
Tui. Dip. Adv. OBB. Dip. CPH, MTCMCI, MBRCP). Marcus is a former senior lecturer
in Oriental Body Balance and is one of only three OBB instructors in Ireland. He
is a fully qualified, registered & insured acupuncturist, who holds B.Sc in
Oriental Medicine as well as advanced Diploma's in Tui-Na and Oriental Body
Balance, and certified in Chinese Patient herbs & Qi Gung. He is a former All
Ireland Karate Champion and runs the highly successful
Bujinkan Dwyer Dojo in Lucan Co. Dublin and
Leixlip Co. Kildare where he holds the rank of Shihan (Master of the art), as
well as writing articles for Irish Fighter magazine and teaching advanced self
defence courses.
He formally lectured for the Oriental Medicine College of England and Ireland,
where his specialty was muscular and skeletal injuries. He is registered and
insured with the
British register of complementary practitioners
and the
Traditional Chinese Medicine Council of Ireland,
as an advanced therapist, and with the Institute of Complementary Medicine as an
Instructor .
Appointments at the Lucan Oriental Medicine Clinic are available Monday to
Wednesday 8am till 6pm and Fridays 10am to 6pm. Late night appointments for
Acupuncture and Oriental Body Balance are available outside of normal working
